NEWSPAPER CONTRIBUTION # 8

Students should be forced by law to do community service
I consider that helping our community in this way should be forced because if we leave it optional almost no one would like to help. In contrast, if this is a requirement we can get involved on this and understand the value of life. Students are impressionable, and in the process of forming moral which will last their entire lives. The most effective way to motivated the whole child is to prepare a student and guide him or her in developing his or her values. Service learning is an excellent way to teach students to be kind and generous.
Actually, If I had a lot of money I would like to help poor people. If I had more free time, I would help more to people that really need out help.  So, If I were a president, I would pass a law to do mandatory service for all the students. This law would say that all the students would continue volunteering and that the all students should participate in these kind of activities with passion. But, if the students do not want to be fundraiser about one project they will have to contribute with a donation of money or some important things that people need. For this reason it is better that the law have to said that the service of program have to be mandatory in all schools. This law goes to bring a lot of facilities to need people, does not it?
Poor people are in need of access to education, do not they? There are endless possibilities for volunteer opportunities, and tremendous benefits for the students who take part. Positively, by requiring students to take an interest in their community and give back, high schools will inspire them to continue to do so throughout their lives. Students have to developed different education programs in their community, have not they? It in order to the students must learn to act with respect, responsibility, and kindness towards others; often, the way that the school environment works, an opposite sense is developed.
Cliques, stereotypes, and the general drama of school can cause a negative environment for students, diminishing their self-esteem and creating barriers towards acting in a positive way. Going out into the real world, into situations where students know they are doing good acts, they can learn that the petty gossip and rumor-mongering will not be the measure of their success as it is in high school. Furthermore, by dive charity others and doing work they can be proud of, students will gain an increased sense of self-esteem and confidence in their abilities.
