This is an interview made to my Grandmother whose name is Trinidad Salas Vargas, and her identification number 3-0156-0580, she is a homemaker.
These are the questions made and the answers she gave:
Do you think that technology is really important?
Technology is very important in this globalized world. An example of this is the internet that is mostly used by young people to do their work at school and university. We can use it to learn a lot on different topics but, this tool can be so useful that can become dangerous for many teenagers as the time used in games or social networks can be a waste of time.
Do you use cell phones or internet in order to communicate with another people?
Yes, I use a cell phone. I have a Nokia 2330. I don’t know all the functions of this cell phone, but I’m able to do calls; that it is the most important for me because I need to communicate with my family. I don’t know how to send messages but I’m trying to learn on it.
Would you like to be more connected with the technology? And why?
I think that use a cell phone is ok, but I don’t need to be connected to the internet because I just need the cell phone in order to communicate with other people. To me technology includes much more. Nowadays, I’m not so young and I’m not interested in learning.
What happens when you are learning to use your cell phone?
Well, the first time I felt frustrated because I did not understand how to add the contacts and look for this to do the call. But then when my cousin explained it to me, I go it after 25 times. I was able to understand a little the way on how to use it and now I can call other people without help.
Do you think that technology is going to be different in about 5 years?
Yes, definitely technology is growing faster. I think that in 5 years everything will be very different. I don’t know how different would it be, but maybe things can be made in small forms such as cell phones and computer in miniature. Maybe, people will make calls using a watch as a cell phone or things like these.
